Joe Rogan reigns the podcast world with The Joe Rogan Experience, racking up 19 million listeners and over 5 billion views since starting the polarizing pod in 2009. Rogan's reach is as expansive as his career, which has included long-running stints as the host of Fear Factor and popular UFC commentator.
Rogan's popularity is undeniable — but decidedly controversial, with many accusing him of making sexist and racist comments over the years. The backlash only continued throughout the coronavirus pandemic, in which he was slammed for offering a platform for COVID-19 conspiracy theories guests would make on the show. His support of president-elect Donald Trump has been slammed by liberals, but praised by his base.

Love him or hate him, people are tuning in — especially to his Instagram Reels.
Rogan's most-viewed Instagram Reel — by far — is a recording of his TV featuring Trump's 2024 election win. The video has been viewed nearly 30 million times as of January 16, 2025.
"WHOLE. LEE. S**T.," the former Fear Factor host captioned the video, which he shared on November 6, 2024. Trump, who appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience in October 2024, name-dropped Rogan in his victory speech.
Rogan's second most-viewed video is another Trump clip he shared just two days later. That footage — which has 18.5 million views — features The Apprentice alum making a speech about the power of free speech in America. Rogan, for his part, captioned the Reel, "FREEDOM. America is back, baby! 🇺🇸."
The third and fourth most-viewed Reels on Rogan's Instagram are also politically charged. A July 2022 repost mocking President Joe Biden — featuring the president stumbling over his words — has nearly 15 million views as of January 16, 2025. Close behind is a video of UFC fighter Jonny Bones doing Trump's viral victory dance — in front of Trump himself.
As for Rogan's fifth most-viewed Instagram Reel, coming in at 14.2 million views, his nearly 20 million followers opted to watch something other than politics: a super-speed drone — with Rogan's theory about the government's "top-secret technology."
Rogan, who has been open about his interest in extraterrestrial life and UFOs, reposted a Sports Center video of a lightning-fast drone in December 2021, adding that he believes the government has even more powerful technology than they're letting on.
"When I see this, I think, 'this is what's available for the public to see, but what kind of wild s**t do they have that's top secret?'" he captioned the video, adding: "This is one of the reasons why I'm so hesitant to believe UFO sightings are extraterrestrial. I'm pretty sure if they're showing this stuff to us on Instagram the military of multiple countries has versions of this that make this drone look like an old station wagon."
