What does a day in the life of a retired sitcom star look like? For Shelley Long, it's as laid-back as a leisurely stroll through Los Angeles with her dog.

The 75-year-old Cheers alum was spotted on Wednesday, November 20.

In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, Long rocked a bedazzled baseball cap, a gray jacket, a black turtleneck, and sweatpants. Her walking companion kept it casual too, sporting a cowboy hat, a vest, and jeans with the little white dog's leash clipped to a belt loop.

Although public outings are rare, this isn't the only time the Indiana native has been seen walking her pooch. Earlier this year, she was photographed near her Pacific Palisades home with her Chihuahua, just a day after the Emmys.

Long's time on Cheers ended after five seasons in 1987 when she made the tough decision to step away. "It was a very difficult choice to make," she told The Montreal Gazette at the time. "We have done some really terrific work at Cheers, but I've decided to give priority to my family and my newly established film production company in connection with Disney Productions."

"I feel very sad to be leaving," she added, "but feel fortunate to have so many wonderful things in my future."

During her run on the iconic sitcom, the beloved actress won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and earned five more nominations for her role as Diane Chambers.

Since stepping away from the limelight, Long has maintained a relatively low-key life, occasionally appearing in guest roles on hit shows like Modern Family, where she played DeDe Pritchett — the eccentric ex-wife of Jay Pritchett — for eight episodes.

Just a day before the Hollywood icon's relaxed outing, her Cheers co-star George Wendt was seen in a far less casual circumstance — leaving a medical facility in a wheelchair. While specifics about Wendt's current health remain private, the 76-year-old former TV star previously faced a serious health scare in 2012, resulting in coronary bypass surgery due to a constricted artery.
