Prior to the film showing, Affleck walked the red carpet and posed for photos with Damon as well as actor Jon Bernthal, who also stars in The Accountant 2. While chatting with premiere-goers, Affleck revealed that he learned to line dance for the film.
"For me, the challenge, of course, was the months and months I spent training to line dance," he told the audience, getting a laugh, per Entertainment Weekly. "It was a stunt for me. Tom Cruise has nothing on me!... Just in terms of line dancing," he joked.
Before taking his seat, Affleck was greeted by a few attendees, including Shark Tank star Mark Cuban, according to a video posted by TMZ.
Affleck's time at SXSW comes less than one month after a judge overseeing his divorce case declared both he and his ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez, officially single. Lopez, who married Affleck in 2022, initially filed for divorce in August 2024, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. In January, People magazine confirmed that the divorce was finalized.
