Despite not running for office, influencer Jake Paul appeared to receive support from President Donald Trump while attending a recent event, should he decide to get into politics.
Paul is a social media personality who initially rose to fame on YouTube and has become a professional boxer.
The Claim
A number of social media posts and viral clips pointed to Trump's comments from an event where he appeared with Paul in Kentucky, with some suggesting that Paul is officially running for office or received a formal campaign endorsement.

The Facts
During a rally at a packaging facility in Hebron, Kentucky, on March 11, 2026, Trump publicly told Paul that he would support him if the boxer ever chose to run for political office. Trump did not endorse Paul for a specific office, campaign, or ballot, and Paul has not announced himself as a candidate.
“I just want to say: I’m going to make a prediction that [Jake], in the not-too-distant future, will be running for political office,” Trump, 79, said during his speech in Hebron, Kentucky, on Wednesday. “You have my complete and total endorsement, OK? That’s what we want, he’s an incredible guy.”
“I didn't ask Jake who he voted for but I don't think it was Kamala,” Trump added. “I think your whole reputation would be shot. That would be the end of your whole career, Jake.”
Paul also provided his support for the president, saying, “God’s got us, Trump’s got us, god bless. Love you, Kentucky.”
Who Is Jake Paul?
Paul is a 29‑year‑old social media personality, professional boxer, and entrepreneur who rose to fame on YouTube before transitioning into sports and podcasting.
He has headlined multiple pay‑per‑view boxing events and hosts the podcast BS w/ Jake Paul. Paul has also been outspoken politically in recent years and publicly supported Trump during the 2024 presidential election cycle.
“What Mr. Trump has taught me is courage. We never back down from a fight, even if they're much bigger than you,” Paul said at the Kentucky event. “And I feel all the local Kentuckians feel the same.”
Could Jake Paul Run for Office?
Paul could legally run for office since he is a U.S. citizen and meets the constitutional age requirement to run for Congress. However, any run would depend on residency requirements, ballot access rules, and whether he chooses to formally declare as a candidate.
As of now, Paul has not announced any intention to run for office or filed campaign paperwork.
The Ruling
True.
Trump did endorse Paul for political office even though he is not currently running a campaign.
The president said Paul has his “complete and total endorsement” should he run for office, which the president predicted he would.
Other social media posts suggesting Paul has officially entered politics or is running an official campaign are not accurate, though the influencer could enter politics at a future date.
