The Los Angeles Dodgers stormed to a 2-0 series lead over the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Championship Series on Tuesday night.

The Dodgers saw home runs from Teoscar Hernández and Max Muncy as well as RBIs from Shohei Ohtani, Andy Pagés, and Tommy Edman.

But the star of the game was starting pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

Yamamoto tossed a complete game and allowed only one run to stifle the Brewers' offense. Jackson Chourio homered on Yamamoto's first pitch, but the righty only allowed two hits for the rest of the game.

“What he did (Tuesday), that was just domination,” catcher Will Smith said, per The Athletic.

Domination is the right word to use with a game like this.

After Chourio homered, Yamamoto fired nine innings of shutout baseball. It seemed like 110 of the 111 pitches he threw came with little to no damage.

“Incredible. Nobody does that,” Edman told reporters after the game.

Edman makes a great point. There hadn't been a complete game in the postseason since 2017, when Houston Astros hurler Justin Verlander fired one against the New York Yankees. The Dodgers hadn't done so since 2004.

The Dodgers hold a two-game lead on the Brewers as they hand the ball to Tyler Glasnow for Game 3 in Los Angeles.
