Both men and women in America are getting married later than they used to decades back. While back in 1973, the median age of the first marriage was 22.1, in 2021 it was around 29 years old.

The people who marry at the earliest age across the country are in Utah, where the state average is 25.8 years old in 2021. At the other end, those who live in Massachusetts tend to get married much later in life, with the state average at 31.3 years old.

The video quickly went viral on social media, getting lots of viewers from across TikTok. It has so far received over 2.3 million views and 515,400 likes on the platform.

One social media user, Steph, commented: "If it's not like this I don't want it." And Emileg.optic said: "This is exactly why they reached 28 years of marriage."
