Just hours before the gold medal game between Canada and the United States, TSN teased fans with a post showcasing the two leading scorers from the tournament and now potential exes facing off at the highest level.
"Who will shine brighter on the biggest stage at #MilanoCortina2026: Caroline Harvey or Daryl Watts?" the post asked. It immediately went viral for obvious reasons with over 265,000 people seeing the post on social media and nearly 3,000 liking the post in just over 12 hours.
Those on social media couldn't help but share their thoughts.
"TSN is catering to people who pay close attention to women’s hockey, and to this rivalry," Toronto Star columnist Bruce Arthur wrote.
"craziest graphic of this Olympics contender??????" questioned another, pointing out the post from TSN, which is the equivalent to ESPN in the United States, highlighting a potential split between two players is rare air for a top sports site.
"This is crazy work if you know anything that transpired in the last 24 hours," added a third.
